The Ultimate Chocolate Chip Cookie
This is THE recipe we swear by, and honestly, where it all began.
For every Chinese New Year and Christmas, the Teo household becomes a mini factory, producing big batches of chocolate chip cookies. At one point, we even took orders for Chinese New Year and held small classes (gotta build them entrepreneurial skills since young right).
Recipe
Ingredients
125g butter
1 egg
3/4 cup white sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
2 1/4 cups flour
2 cups semi sweet chocolate chips
Method
Mix butter, egg, sugar, salt and baking soda in a big bowl.
Butter should be a tad soft but not fully melted.
Slowly sift the flour in.
Lastly, stir in your semi-sweet chocolate chips.
Line your baking trays with baking paper.
Put the cookie dough in small drops on the tray about an inch apart.
Bake at 180 degrees celcius until brown.
Leave to cool until it hardens.
Eat.
